Sleep Masks

eyemaslFrank really wanted a sleep mask out of the treasure box in his class this week.  Somebody beat him to it, so we made our own.  They were pretty easy to make.  We found a pattern for the mask in a few different sewing books and decided on this one.  I sewed 3 pieces of flannel with right sides together with a piece of batting on the back.  Sew around the line you trace leaving a hole at the top to turn.  Make sure to pin the elastic carefully inside so that you don’t snag it while sewing. The last step was to do a top stitching all the way around, which also sewed the hole shut.
