Parachuting Airplane

Frank really wanted to make a parachuting airplane yesterday.   Here is how we did it:

1.  Cut newspaper or fabric or garbage bag to 12×12 inches.
2.  Reinforce the corners of your square with some tape.
3.  Cut (4) 34 cms of string ( we used embroidery floss).
4.  Tie the string onto the corners of the square.
5. Make a paper airplane and punch holes someplace on the top.
6.  Slip two strings into one hole and tape on the underside to hold in place.
7. Repeat with the other two strings in the other hole.
8.  Place a paperclip at the bottom of the airplane so it will have some weight to fall.
This is really just a parachute.  The airplane doesn’t do anything special.  Frank just wanted it to be an airplane instead of a man or whatever else you might want to float down from the sky.
