Bubble Prints

This is a little craft we did a while ago that I have been forgetting to post.  It is bubble painting.  You make a mixture with soap, water, and paint.  Then you put the mixture in a shallow dish such as a pie pan and blow with a straw into the mixture.  The mixture bubbles up and then you lay your paper on it and repeat.  I found my prints to be light so I had to repeat a lot.

*Warning:  Frank, who is almost 5, drank some of the mixture in the straw.  We had to call poison control.  Luckily it wasn’t anything serious.  I would only do this with kids who will not drink it.  It was recommended for kids ages 3 and up.  I did see somewhere on the internet a neat idea where you put the paint mixture into a bubble gun and blow the bubbles onto the paper in a box.  I will try that next and let you know.
