Tonight for dinner I made this bread recipe from Artisan Bread in Five Minutes a Day : The Discovery that Revolutionizes Home Baking by Jeff Hertzberg and Zoe Francois. I have heard so many great things about this book. The bread was really easy to make, but you definitely need to plan before you make it. The bread had to sit out for 40 minutes and then bake for 30 minutes. It was pretty good and I will be making it again. The pizza dough is next on my list to try. 

In addition to our bread, we had my mom’s manicotti, my mom’s chateau potatoes, and salad. The meal was quite filling. For dessert I made my favorite peanut butter cookies. They are from Cook’s Illustrated.
