Magazine Box Tutorial Part 1

Tutorial for magazine holders:

1. Find a sturdy box that is pretty thin.  I used a UPS box.  A cereal box would work too, but it isn’t as sturdy.
2.  Measure and cut your box to the height you want it to be.  I did mine 10 inches.
3.  Measure 4 inches up from the bottom of the box and mark it on two sides.  Then at the top of the box, mark the center of each side.  Draw a line from the top mark diagonally down to the mark at the bottom.  Repeat on the other side.  Cut on the lines.
4.  Paint your box on all sides but the front thin panel.
5.  Use a piece of cardboard to trace the front thin panel.  Use this template to cut out as many front panels as you need.  If you want a continuous picture like the one I made with the map, then be sure to lay the template next to the previous panel cut out.
